mobile app

The mobile app worked for 15 minutes. Now it says “failed to connect to device”. Also the mouse doesn’t work 3/4 of the time. I am going to take down all 4 cameras and pack up everything to return it. The biggest waste of $. I will never purchase this brand again and have already told 6 people planning to get the same system I have not to buy it!! Need to get it together Lorex.

Great Camera, Poor App

When I first got this the app worked great. And now it does not work at all. PLEASE FIX THIS APP!

Works great

Connected on the first try. So easy and simple to get started. I hope that it continues to work so well.

Needs iphone 6 support

App works fine. Add a local IP address and have your router setup for address reservation if your on the local network. If your out of your network set the external ip address in the device manager also. It tend to connect quicker then using the serial number. Please update it to support the bigger screens the picture looks stretched and not very clear

Mobile view works great

Only issue I have with this product is that I cant get the email system to send me an email when it detects motion. The app works really great on my iphone Im able to view when Im away from home. Would have given it a 5 star rating if the email system worked!!!!!

A bit gimmicky

The Lorex security cameras work great, but this app has some annoying bugs. The main bug that Ive encountered is that I need to reprogram it daily. It only takes a few seconds, but it is very annoying. When I activate the app away from home, I have to double click on each camera box and retell it that the first box should be camera one, the second box should be camera two, and so on... Every day. If this isnt done daily, all I see is blank screens. Once I do this, the app works great until the next day, when I have to reprogram them again. If this quirk was fixed, I would give this app five stars.

Dont waste your money

As MANY others have reported, the mobile viewing is worthless. Most of the time I am unable to connect with an iPhone. Unbelievable to me that Lorex is unwilling to address this problem.

Zero effort put into the development of this app. Beyond awful. Would love to give it a zero star.

JUNK!!!!! Save your money!!!

I challenge lorex to offer me my money back for the 2 garbage systems that I bought from Costco. As many have stated. It DOES NOT work with apple products and if you have an iMac there isnt even an app available??? Lorex will not fix these issues. They have had years and no difference. Please at all costs do NOT buy a lorex system, you will feel ripped off and its obvious that they dont care!! What a horrible business model!! I cant believe this company is still in business!! FIX THE APP NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ***update*** December 5 th. 2014. Just thought I would update my review from September, well as I figured lorex has done nothing at all to fix these problems everyone has been complaining about. This remote viewing app is absolute garbage and if you get someone on the phone at lorex support they will have nothing to tell you. Its obvious they could care less if their system operates as stated. At this point I am going to encourage costco to stop carrying lorex products because when a store sells junk like this it not only gives lorex a bad rap but also Costco. Even though its not costcos fault it reflects on them. Maybe if Costco drops lorex then perhaps lorex will get the clue and fix their horrible products. Im sure costco is a huge customer for lorex and if they drop the line then maybe the huge loss of business for lorex will get them off their a## and fix the issues but if people keep buying this junk, why would they bother to fix it? Anyone who has experienced these problems should call costco and request for them to discontinue carrying lorex products all together !!!! I hope this review helps others out there to not get ripped off by lorex. BUY ANYTHING ELSE!! Finally, lorex never contacted me in the 4 months this review has been up here, as I figured they wouldnt. Why would they care about me? They already got paid!!

Password

It should have a password and user name to enter the app, cause you never know if youre phone can get lost or stolen, so people can see around youre house. Make that happen for more security.

Same problem with everybody , connect fail Very time open the app to see my store it fail what the point to have camera install but cant see all the time fix this please everybody have the same issue but the company have no response didnt do anything try to return and dont let me return call the sale department never have anybody pick up phone never buy this lorex again ever

Besides the app, I am extremely satisfied with the whole security camera system. Its just unfortunate that the quality of the app takes away from the quality equipment. LOREX, PLEASE JUST START LISTENING TO ALL THESE PEOPLE AND RE-DO THIS APP FROM THE GROUND UP...

Works surprisingly well

The people who rated this app poorly must not little to no technical knowledge. App is easy to setup and operate.

Do something !!!!

Keeps freezing all the time ! There is so many aplications and not even one works normaly. Make the one wright FINALY ! Lorex- shame in you !

Buggy, needs help!

The entire Lorex UI from top to bottom needs an overhaul. Whomever designed this stuff is not very bright or intuitive.

Horrible app

This app works great when I am on site and on the same network as the System. But when I am home it ALWAYS fails to connect. Horrible design flaw
