Lorex ECO Stratus App Reviews

I have some connection issues, but not as bad as others apparently. My biggest critique is controls. Id like to have the same admin control as the desktop, in particular the ability to turn alarm on/off. Also, in playback the scroll bar is almost impossible to get at the time you need to view. A manual entry time would be amazing. But, other than that, works well.

I see a lot of people having trouble with this app. I think with some simple exploration half of the problems I read could easily be solved. I dont consider myself to be overly technical, but adding the system and remote viewing on my iPhone and computer were fairly straightforward. Although I experienced some of the problems people stated they had, usually a simple refresh or playing around with some of the buttons fixed the problems instantly. I am currently able to view all of the cameras with good frame rate and clarity on my iPhone 6 Plus. The only reason I didnt give it five stars was because I feel like the app could still be improved upon as the design is a little unclear and boring. Also I would like items added like push notifications if motion is detected. For example if motion detected at the front door, I could get a push notification alerting me of that so I could check it out

App quality is not up to par to lorex standards . Cheap app needs more improvements , needs to be like night owl app.

I would be more happier if the mobile app works great. Please fix it. It needs to be fix ASAP!!!

Worst app❗️ I too was excited I would be able to monitor cameras (which are GREAT BTW) from my iPhone as the salesman from Best Buy assured me I would be able to do. It simply wont connect. Any advise❓ Call me #disappointed.

Its freezes and is very unstable...

One star only because there is nothing lower! Had it for over a year, and none of the problems corrected. But the program in the security equipment is KAKA ! Should drug test everybody...

I wished that this APP worked - Lorex makes excellent security camera equipment - however they have struggled to provide access through a mobile device. With a iPhone 6 it struggles to connect (50%) and then even when it does connect 70% of the time it cannot remember the camera configuration and the cameras must be again selected. And it is SOOOOOO SLOW to respond. This APP at least shows that they know what service they need to provide.

Im not sure what problems others faces with this system, maybe it was just an older version of the software. I installed the cameras and downloaded the free app. Camera installation took me about 2 hours, only because I work slowly. Once installed everything worked just great. I read the other reviews and was expecting a nightmare... Im happy to report it was pretty straight forward and several of us watch these cameras from various places in the world....

Used to be a great app. Two weeks ago it stopped working and says failed to connect. Please fix.

I do think the app needs some fixing. I have to keep adding my cameras to the live view. I wish it would save the setting so I dont have to keep adding the cameras. Other than that I love it

Stopped working after Phone updated to iOS 9.0.1 it works perfect on my other iPhone that hasnt been updated.

Was great before iOS update. Stopped working after iOS 9 update. Called customer support, they said they still dont have iOS 9 support. Please update and fix app.

Constantly crashes. Doesnt keep channels fixed every time app is opened. Doesnt do anything when trying to select the option of adding a channel. Doesnt refresh itself. Developers really need to provide a better app for their customers.

Doesnt support the larger screens of the iPhone 6 and above, making it look really blown up. Needs to be updated. Also doesnt support looking up motion events nor audio. Also tends to not connect on the first try without first entering "Device Manager," tapping the unit, then clicking "save." Even then, sometimes it still wont connect for random reasons.

It has worked...once or twice. Terribly unreliable.

The only time we can view through the app is if we are at home and on our Wi-Fi...And that only works a bout 10% of the time. I have an iPhone 6s and a Samsung galaxy tab three. Even with having the sprint 4G LTE network, it will not recognize the device or play live video. This is the whole reason I got it. Absolutely terrible...awful and would not recommend it to anybody.

This app is so horrible...is not working all the time!!!

If you give this app anything less than 4 stars, you really have no clue what you are doing or talking about. It works, just play around with it.

A 13 year old could write a better app in his moms basement. Anyone who rated this a decent app is not a tech or didnt give it enough time to make a fair assessment. Lorex should be ashamed of this software. Their desktop software is just as bad, constantly freezing. If Lorex doesnt get on the ball then tech companies are going to eat their systems alive. This app doesnt even compete with other manufacturers out there.
